Recently had the AC replaced and discovered that the drywall for the Thermostat area is damaged. Do not have the time or want my toddler exposed to the dust and fresh paint smell for weeks.
So I made this Universal Thermostat Wall Plate. Not everyone's situation is the same, So there are no screw holes. You make your own holes wherever ever are needed.
How to Install:
#1 Use masking tape to position the plate to the desired position.
#2 Mount the plate to drywall with 1-2 screws. "Keep the screw as close to the center as possible; you don't want ugly screws visible after you mount your thermostat". Your thermostat back plate will have 2-3 more screws.
#3 Position your thermostat back plate and mount it to the wall plate, pre-drill with a 1/8" drill bit, and screw in with the original screws.
Please remember to turn off the fuse at the breaker and the power switch at your unit. Remember to take a picture of the wiring before attempting to install it.
This is designed for a horizontal thermostat; it will not work with a vertical thermostat.

Universal Thermostat Wall Plate, Backplate 3D Printed
Please note that layer lines will be present and may have minor imperfections, but will not affect functionality. This is due to the 3D printing process.
Not all 3D prints are the same. Our 3D prints are made with quality PLA+ filaments. PLA+ is stronger and more rigid than standard PLA, as well as having a higher level of toughness.
We don't use Generic filament or Standard filament; they are cheap and low quality, and will not last.
The majority of our prints are thick and solid, unlike the thin and hollow prints found in many other products.
